7 - Jerry Leger & The Situation
Canadian songwriter Jerry Leger has made 10 albums since his first, Jerry Leger & The Situation (also the name of his band), in 2005. His most recent is a double collection, Nonsense & Heartache, which is produced by Michael Timmins from the Cowboy Junkies, and which divides along electric and acoustic arrangements, showcasing both Leger's crafted songwriting and his raw and spontaneous rock'n'roll sensibility. Championed by Ron Sexsmith and Jim Lauderdale among others, Jerry's influences include Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, Lightnin' Hopkins, Elvis Costello, Buddy Holly, Gordon Lightfoot, Tom Waits, Neil Young and Leonard Cohen. Expect great tunes and a ramshackle, rocking show!
Also on the bill we have a welcome return to Come Down & Meet The Folks from the one and only Rutland Troubadour, Paul McClure, appearing in solo mode.
